Today is Part 5 of “It’s a Light Thing,” a five-part series based on a story found in 2 Kings 3:1-25. The story is about how God guides the kingdoms of Israel, Judah, and Edom in a successful military campaign against the people of Moab. As we discuss lessons from this story, we connect them to the experiences of people of African descent in recognition of Black History Month.
Part 5 focuses on the following key points: “Beware of unexpected water” – you may get a blessing when and where you are not looking for it. How you look at your problem and how God looks at your problem are two different things. The Lord can make a way. Whenever your defeat seems certain and your downfall is inevitable, look for the blood.
