Chronic stress can cause a wide range of physical and mental health issues, from high blood pressure and heart disease to depression and anxiety. Yet many the world over can’t seem to escape these problems despite the dangers they pose. The Bible offers an antidote to stress. There is a way that we can relieve our burdens. Philippians 4:6, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Seeking God with a grateful heart can remove our anxiety.
