Show Notes

On this day after Easter Monday, we release the third episode in our five part Easter Special. Today’s episode features ten characters who ended up on the wrong side of the Easter story.

Each character reflects on their interactions with Jesus and what they may have gotten wrong. In monologues, mostly tinged with regret, they share their intentions and how these may have gotten them in trouble.

The characters include the following:

Judas Isacariot, one of the twelve, who betrayed Judas for 30 pieces of silver

Joseph Caiaiphas, the High Priest who condemned Jesus

Annas, the former High Priest who supported the condemnation

Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor who pronounced the death sentence

Herod Antipas, the Galilean ruler who was hoping Jesus would provide entertainment for him

A generic Roman soldier

Barabbas, the insurrectionist who was released by Pilate instead of Jesus

Gestas, the impenitent thief crucified beside Jesus

A false witness who testified against Jesus

Someone in the crowd who called for Jesus to be crucified

Where are you this Easter? Are you on the right side?
