The second Friday in January has come to be known as “Quitter’s Day” or “Quitting Day.” This is the day by which most people have abandoned their New Year resolutions and returned to life as they had previously known it. This might also be true for some of us who have spiritual goals. But if you are tempted to give up and lose heart, God’s message to you is: “My grace is sufficient for you.” (2 Corinthians 12:9) If you have already quit, this may be God’s message to you: “Though you may fall, you will not be overwhelmed, for I am holding your hand.” (Psalm 37:24)
