Following Jesus costs everything at the center of a person's life, but refusing Him carries an even greater cost: the loss of everything one might have become through His grace. Matthew and Judas both sat at tables of money. Both heard the same invitation. Both stood within reach of the same Savior. One left the table and discovered a life beyond anything he could have calculated. The other assigned a price to the priceless gift and lost what no amount of silver could ever purchase. Their stories stand together as a lasting testimony that every disciple must eventually decide what Jesus is truly worth.
