Show Notes

Michel de Montaigne, the French Renaissance philosopher once opined that “a good marriage would be between a blind wife and a deaf husband.” This suggests that a couple will be happy if the man won't hear his wife's scolding and the woman won't see her husband's slovenliness.

Is marriage in the 21st century in trouble? Recent data raises some concerns. But we turn to the spiritual marital bond of which the Bible speaks. Don’t let your relationship with God go the way of today’s ups and downs. Enter into a covenant with a God whose love for you lasts forever.

Scriptures referenced include Genesis 2:24; Hosea 2:19-20; 1 John 4:8; Romans 5:8; Hebrews 8:10; 1 Corinthians 3:12, 18; Isaiah 54:5; and Ezekiel 33:11.
