The Scriptures are not just insightful words written by human beings. The words in both the Old Testament and the New are breathed into being by God’s Holy Spirit. As such, they are inspired, they are useful, and they equip us. Scripture contains all we need to equip us for whatever good work we might do. While we can learn from psychology, sociology, and various scientific disciplines, we must always run this learning through the grid of Scripture. But, if we only had the Bible, it would be enough.
