Show Notes

Few issues are as painful and polarizing as abortion and reproductive rights. The debates stir deep convictions about freedom, life, and justice. As followers of Jesus, we ask: What does He teach us about life, dignity, and compassion in this conversation? While Jesus never spoke directly about abortion, His life and ministry reveal principles that guide us: the sacredness of life, the dignity of women, and the call to hold truth and mercy together.

Jesus’ incarnation affirms the value of life in the womb, and His welcome of children shows that the youngest are close to His heart. Yet He also treated women with compassion, honoring their dignity in ways that shocked His culture. In Him, we see both unwavering reverence for life and unshakable mercy for those facing shame, pain, or hard choices.

In our “Get Deep” section, we reflect on what this reveals about Jesus’ character and mission. He is the Lord of life, the defender of the vulnerable, and the Redeemer who offers forgiveness and healing. Finally, we ask what it means for us to follow Him today—valuing life, supporting women, rejecting condemnation, and building communities of compassion and justice.
